One day Harley may get my trike to not leak oil. Actually they get the leak fixed and another one shows up in a few weeks. Garage floor looks like when I used to build car engines in my previous house. Last leak, about 6 weeks ago, was the transmission. Transmission had to be completely disassembled to fix leak. Now transmission is still ok but leak is under the middle of the engine on the split. This will be the 8th leak to be repaired. Leaks before were the side cover on tranny, oil pan, oil cooler manifold 3 times, seals and gasket on tranny. This gets very old having trike in shop all the time.:gah::gah:
I guess all Harleys just want to mark their spot. So I got up this morning, 48*, and rode it to North Ocala and the Harley dealer. Ask them to fix this leak. This time they say they may have to pull the engine and it could take at least 3 days. Well all I can say is I love the warranty. Was my engine assembled on a Monday by a hung over idiot? The oil pan allen screws were all finger tight, if that and was when I had less than 5000 miles, now I have 45,000.
