New old guy in the great Northwet

From my bucket list: Build a trike.

Problem is, everything I like is beyond my skills, so I'm trying to learn and build at the same time. Plus, at 66 with several chronic diseases, even simple things take me a long time to accomplish.

Since I've accumulated some interesting parts over the years, and have essentially no cash to buy other stuff, my designs are a little odd. For example, I have this Gazelle kit car body that I've designed two ways to use:
- 1F2R: Dreirad Phaeton (VW Trike) by CARCENTRIC
- 2F1R: Dragonfly Trike by CARCENTRIC

I'm leaning toward the 1F2R at the moment, but I'm stumped as to how to build the front swingarm (some have told me it's called a hub-center steering frontend, but I think what I have in mind is really more primitive than that) using a Super Beetle strut/spindle/wheel/brake.

Regardless, start pouring the knowledge in - my mind is open.

Welcome to the website from the U P of Michigan. I like your ideas, even if you need some skills to accomplish it you are taking the time to learn. Nice. That gives you pride in your project.
