Natchez-Trace Ride

I have ridden it both ways. I really enjoy it although it can get a little boring in places. A lot of history along the way though. RIDE SAFE

Nice ride, but be aware of the speed limit. Stop for a sandwich at the Council House Cafe in French Camp, MS, they're good!

I went to a biker reunion thing in Kentucky and my wife went a couiple years back. She wanted to do the full Elvis experience on the way which included Tupelo and Memphis (and Nashville) so in MS, we decided the Natchez Trace experience would be fun. It was in July and was HOT and at 40 mph, the gnats swirled around our helmets and I got so sick of plodding along and looking at NOTHING but pretty forest I gave up after about 50 miles and hit the back roads towards Graceland. No traffic... no places you would want to stop (with A/C and no bugs) and no reason for this ol' boy to be on the NT!

My husband an I rode a little bit of it last year, pretty ride from what we saw of it in Tennessee. Before we got on it we were told to stop at the loveless cafe. Neat little stop, sorta like stepping back into time

[h=2]Natchez-Trace, is a great ride. However you have to have a mind set to be prepared for the low speed. Seems it takes forever to get anywhere.[/h]
I do not live far from it in Alabama and have rode it many times. North and South. The construction has been finished so there should not be much interference.
I will say this your will get some serious mpg, Last time I was on our CVO street glide and got around 54 mpg on a SE110 and it ran cool the whole time, lots of shade from trees.
