Definitely don't click on that link, MS would never send out an email like that one. One of the reasons that my everyday OS is Linux.

I've been getting crap like that for months. I send it on to my ISP as requested. They say they have pretty good success tracking it down. Don't know how true that is because I still get it.... Also get similar from actual banks that I've never done business with. I just delete those...... :xzqxz: :xzqxz:

It's spam or a virus waiting for you. Microsoft would not send an email like that. You can check by calling them or send them an email direct to confirm.

Just retired from the Dept of Justice.... one of the three letter agency law enforcement kind.. take your pick. No, I wasn't an agent, but a receptionist, took ten thousands of of this type of calls. There is a reporting website. It www.ic3.gov you can report these emails and phone calls. If you get phone calls you can report them to Federal Communications Center (FCC) as harassing phone calls, some phone companies will block numbers for free, some will say it takes a court order blah blah blah, they all can do it, if they want to. Most of the callers are using what is called phone spoofing..... what the heck is that????

They are calling from a foreign country i.e. Pakistan using a computer majic to make it look like they are calling from somewhere in the United States. They just haven't figured out how to get rid of thier thick dialects so even us Renecks can understand them. Or another way they do it is if they are from the Carribean nations they take a short trip to Miami, or New York or a short vacation. While on vacation they buy as many cell phones as they possibly can. This gives them US phone numbers the carriers don't care where they send the bill as long as it get paid.:cool::cool:

They called me not not long ago. After they thought they got me, I told em this has been forwarded to the FBI for investigation. They hung up
