Hey folks..I am putting this here so more will see it. Please PM me with your name, address and phone number if you would like a DVD of what Carolyn shot. She has 4,679 photos to go through so please be patient with us! Scott

4,679 photos to go through? Back in the day I would be lucky to run through 5 or 6 rolls of 24 frame 35mm film in the week! Anyway, thanks to Carolyn for chronicling the gathering in pictures. ThumbUp

Carolyn also videoed the entire Tail of the Dragon ride...53 minutes of video. If you want that as well..pm me on top of your original request! There are a couple of seconds of my arm waving at the picture guys...and at a couple of times it is bouncy...but hey...we all were a little bouncy that day!

Not to hijack this thread, but as Jake (The Wolf) lives in Scotland, will a DVD burned in the USA work in Europe? The video codec on the US is NTSC, and the European standard is PAL. DVDs are Region 1 in the US and Region 2 in Europe. Was wondering if there is a transfer service or if some devices (computers, DVE or Blu-Ray players) can play both codecs or regions discs.

If you don't encode a specific region on the disc when you burn it, it will play in any DVD player that plays the same format PAL/NTSC. Yes the NTSC would have to be reformatted to PAL to play the video portion of the DVD in Scotland on their DVD player and I would be happy do the conversion and output it to PAL for them. I am not sure of the final quality as it will change the frames per second and the picture ratio size as I haven't done it before.
If photos only, should play back on any device.

Hadn't thought of the video. Hopefully there is a place Jake can get it converted. They are ALL going out next week...25 sets...everyone is getting 3 discs wrapped in plain brown wrappers!

Good to hear, looking forward to seeing them. When I get ours will convert to PAL video disc and send to Jake, if you can PM me his address.

Thank you Scott but what did the Misses take pictures of that dictates "plain brown wrappers", LOL

Ok everyone...almost 30 sets of DVD's out to places across the Northern Hemisphere! We hope they play in your systems. These were burned on our HP desktop..(yes we still have one!). They were sent out as "media" as it would have been cost prohibitive to send them out any other way..even though we won the drawing! Look for them in the next 5-12 days. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
