Hi,
I (helpfully) washed hubbies Boom Low rider for him. Now it wont turn over, would appear that rinsing with the hose was not the right thing to do!

He thinks it has probably blown a fuse to the starter motor? Does anyone have any idea which fuse this may be please. It is 2007 low rider with a Ford Zetec fuel injected (Used in the Ford Focus). TIA.

If you washed it and it is wet, I am not certain that blew a fuse. My suggestion might be to just let it dry.

Is it turning and not starting? What are you getting when you try to turn it over?

Meanwhile, make sure the kill switch is not off.

Thanks Donald, It has dried now and still wont start.
Hubby thinks the starter motor may have gone.
Getting nothing at all when he trys to turn it over.
It doesn't have a kill switch.
Alarm is unsetting and resetting and all other electrics are on.

Finally saw your note - he is getting nothing. What about the lights - are they coming on.

If not, it could be the battery or a bad connection to the battery.

He has lights working, even the alarm is working it is purely not starting.
He has it booked in tomorrow so hopefully wont be anything too expensive lol

If you have a voltmeter hook it up with a positive on the battery lug on the starter and groun the negative at the frame, do you read 12 volts at the starter? If not you likely have a blown fuse or shorted relay, sometimes removing fuses one at a time and reinstalling them with some dilectric grease will get you going again

Not even a click when he tries to start it.
He has checked all the fuses and they are ok
Its in the garage today so hopefully will get sorted, will let you know what it is (or hopefuly was)
