Go to HD official web site. click on "owner"". click on "manuals" (far left of screen, 2 choice down). select the manual you want.

You have to sign in or create an account prior to doing the above.

In the aforementioned Harley site there is also an interactive tutorial that was better than the book to me because it showed you screen shots and took you through the operation of the Boom Audio. Yep it's slow but it makes you use the joysticks which will help you down the line.

We try not to"Bare" all here. Most times people just laugh and point but it gets ugly when the police come.

My Dealer Classic Harley-Davidson, Leesport, PA had a Boom Seminar hands on workshop. Salesperson Danielle Bauder gave the class. We had about 15 people. What one person did not know another did. I learned a lot more of what mine could do with my Android phone and bluetooth settings. Ask your Dealer to give a class! I really rely on my GPS quite a bit for getting me home after I go out and get lost! ThumbUp

Bob I know what your saying sometimes we will pass a road and wonder where it goes well then you gotta find out, but here is something to think about on your GPS not a good idea to program the home to your home just put it to something in the area. there was a report of a GPS got stolen out of a car and the crooks went straight to the peoples home while they were still a wal mart just food for thought.

I've found that most GPS units need regular map updates (I've had both Garmin and TomTom - don't know what brand the HD uses).

Next thing I do is always carry a paper map as a backup because the GPS tends to get "lost" in big cities because of the buildings and goes nuts in the mountains when I visit friends in Tennessee and North Carolina.

Can't tell you how many times it said "turn here" and it was a dead end road. Once I got lost in the backwoods and could swear I could hear the sounds of dueling banjos. :blush:

You beat me to it. I was going to respond saying the same thing. Actually a different dog but likely the same result.

Have you figured it out yet? To me it wasn't easy since I previously had a Garmin Zumo 660, and still have it, thank god. I would be lost without it since the H-D unit is a POS, but it's getting better with the updates and all, but still no match for the Zumo units.

I can't tell you how many addresses (my) H-D unit can't find, but the Zumo can.

I can go on and on, but this is enough for now.

Why Harley didn't go with Garmin in the first place is beyond me. From what I've read it's some company in Scandinavia. WTF. All to save a GD dollar and screw the customer.

I agree, a dealer class would be great instead of trying to understand the manual. There's only one guy at my dealer that even knows anything about it.

Hopefully there will be a lot more updates and tweeks coming.

GPS "NOT"

Manuals and tutorials can never help you when you end up at a dead end road or a dirt goat path and all of you know what I'm talking about right! epper:

I have always kept a paper map like "jackxbobg" recommended earlier to get me out of those "tight" spots, just in case! AJ

I learned something about the GPS the other day when we used our J&M headsets for the first time. The radio and our intercom were working great at comfortable volumes but when the GPS would cut in with directions we could barely hear it. I can't remember if I learned it from the manual or from the online video but you need to adjust the GPS volume while GPS instructions are being given. Works fine now. I should have known that because my cage is the same way.

FWIW If the road is BLACK on the GPS it means it is an unimproved stone / dirt road. I plan accordingly and avoid these roads. I love to get lost and then let the GPS guide me back. I have found many new cool roads this way.

Every different GPS response volume can be adjusted while it is talking to you ... or on the correct setup page for that function.

With 10K of miles using this system I can do most anything with it. You can not blindly follow it .... you need to do some thinking as well .... or you will be on the interstate instead of the back roads you want to ride ... or vice versa. :laugh:

How Do you Cancel a GPS Route on thebuilt-in GPS on the Tri-Glides

All great inputs for "Phewitt" on learning the GPS for your 2015 TG. I have mine set up to go to my nearest police or fire station as my home" address. What I can't find on this darn thing, so far, is how to cancel a route and get "Moana's cousin's voice" to stop talking! Anyone have a quick fix (or button ) choice for this one? On the Zuma GPS versions I had on my CVO Ultra and older Ultra you could just bring up the "Cancel Route" button and push it to end the voice in your ear saying "updating route".

There is not Option Button on the TG 2015 Build-In Display GPS

With the map displayed, hit the option button, you'll see 'STOP' listed, there you go.

Zammy - thanks again, I checked out you solution with the map displayed, the issue is when the map is displayed there is on "option button" displayed anywhere on the map page. (not corners, edges or ?? anywhere.) Thanks again, I'm going to the Dealer tomorrow to pick something up. I'm going to have them so me how to stop the current route and then I'll let all you know via the Forum.

All I can tell you is that Monna's Cousin Lucille is getting to me always talking in my ear!

Everybody may be tired of me posting this, here it is again:

How to save a remote location on a 2014 & 15 HD GPS:

1) Select "Navigate"
2) Select "Where to"
3) Select "Address"
4) Enter address
5) press "OK"
6) While the route is being calculated, press the logo/button on the bottom left side of the screen. (It's not labeled).
7) Scroll down to "save"
8) Select "Saved"
9) Select "Yes"
10) Enter a name
11)Press "OK"

Found It!

Took me a while to figure this out too. The Option button doesn't say "Option" it's just the little square icon circled in Zammy's picture.

Zammy - I found the box which is a little square box with vertical dashes in it. I was able to stop the GPS voice in my head. epper: KJB, thanks for the follow-up question and answer too. Now I can ride sometimes in silence or just good music in my ear phones. AJ
