What kind of mileage is everyone getting out of there front tire on there Tri's? I have about 10000 on mine and it looks and handles like it needs to be replaced.

THANKS BO :Santa:

I got approx. 19 thou. out my first tire - Wife got just over 20 thou. on hers - I've heard of people getting lots LESS on theirs - my recommendation is to closely monitor that tire pressure.
:D

Replaced mine at 16500. Could have possibly went another 1000, but did not want to chance it. Tire press always at 36psi.

it all depends on the type of rode you normally ride on and how much turning you do. If you are a super slaber you can get a lot of miles out of the tire. If you are a Dragon Tailer all the time not so much.

I got about 11,000 out of the front tire on our 2014. Several other people with 14's on this forum said they were the same mileage and needed a front tire. We ride mostly back roads but some highway.

That's about the miliage I got . We got better with the 2010 & 2012 TG's, (15k - 19k).
I can only think possible due to the linked rear to front brakes as to the reason for a little more wear on the 2014's???

I think I got about 11/12 thousand miles out of mine [2011] I replaced it with another stock tire and now at almost 29 thousand the Trike it looks like i'll get 5 more on it.
Both tires exactly the same, different mileage.

I had 8650 miles on my front tire when it was down to 2/32. I was making another trip to the Dragon and I didn't want to push it.

I live in the hills of Pa. on mostly asphalt roads, other than 1 rip to the Dragon this bike doesn't see much highway and I certainly don't baby it.

I love this trike. This year I put on a little over 13k on it!

Thanks
Mark

Replaced front tire on 2013 TG at 13,000....could have gone another 1,500, but going on a trip to British Columbia would have put me in the "red zone".

I have to wonder if or why there is not "trike" tires made for our application specifically? I have to wonder if a major tire manufacturer actually did design a tire for use specifically on the front of our trikes what it would really look like and how it would perform?

I see trikes becoming more popular and prevalent out there and think maybe its time for that to be reflected in the tire market by chance.....

I changed my 2012 Tri-Glide front tire at 19,994miles replaced it with rear tire Dunlop mu/85/b16 reversed rotation balanced with Dyna beads handles just fine so far.

Changed mine and 10,000 could have went more with the VIP I get a front tire so I went ahead and changed it scene I was putting out of service for 3 1/2 months. 6 weeks I should be able to Ride again.:clapping::pepper:
