So Tuesday I had to run to the big city and not wanting to give us trikers a bad name I hosed it off and wiped it down. I had 3 immediate issues pop up 2 of which cleared up by the afternoon. The 2 short term issues were Gear Indicator Blank and Cruise Control would turn on but not engage. Problem #3 which persists is the trike will not start in gear no matter which brake I engage. I figure something is getting wet that should be sealed and I remember something being posted about a brake switch for the starting issue. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank in advance.

After things dry out, Silicone spray the snot on the switches. As far as the gear indicator goes , I can’t help, as mine has been messed up for years. Probably a bad sensor , but I don’t need it.

The switches on the Tri-Glide's are not hose water friendly .....WD40 The switch housings......

Kurt the problem with the not starting in gear is the switch / lever combo itself. It is a known and widespread problem. H-D has a technical bulletin out about it. Assuming your TG is a '17 or '18 the fix is a new version of the switch and a new version of the clutch lever. Had mine done a couple months ago. See attached.
