Little disappointed about instructions. For the price a few pictures or diagrams would go a long way. Not all of us are certified mechanics yet don't want to pay dealer labor rates. I know I can call Kevin with all my questions and he will be helpful. Shouldn't have to call.
My 2 cents.

Funny, I found the installation rather intuitive and the diagrams/warnings pretty clear!! As Fuzzy mentioned, a call to Kevin will go a long ways if you have questions/concerns. I would suggest a call to Kevin in lieu of generating a post regarding this issue, don't know what could possibly be accomplished by complaining on this forum when you have not given Kevin a chance to respond or answer any questions. Just my $.02!!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!!

I agree with this assessment.

One of the most important aspects we look at when we designing a new product is making the installation easy.

To us it doesn't matter how nice a new mod is, if it is difficult to install, we will work at re-designing it so it is not difficult to install.

The reason I say that is, that from the get-go, we have the installation instructions in mind. Once we have the product manufactured and ready to sell, Devin and I sit down and spend a lot of time writing the installation instructions. We try and think of every question that might be asked, and answer them in the instructions.

With some of our parts we do include photo's and/or diagrams because we did not see where the words alone are enough.

It seems like we dropped the ball here. I am not sure which areas would benefit from some pics or diagrams, so I am going to post a few here in hope that they will be of assistance to you.

If you could email or call and let me know if any of them were useful, and/or there are other areas of pics or diagrams that will be helpful in installation, that would be really great.

I know it won't help you now, but it will definitely help others after we modify the instructions.

Looking down at how the bracket attaches to the bike, and how the two brackets attach to each other:

Looking at how the oil filter mount attaches to the brackets, and how the hoses are routed toward the frame:

Looking at how the oil filter adapter goes in the place of where the oil filter used to go:

Looking at how the oil filter is positioned between the front cylinder and gear shift lever, a bit behind the open vent.

You can also barely see the hoses leading to the oil filter adapter:

Another angle of the cooler, and you can see the two hoses coming out of the bottom of it, one to the oil filter adapter, and one going back to the oil filter mount:

Showing it with the vent closed. You can see the hoses coming out the bottom of the cooler a bit better here:

Look forward to hearing from you, I know it won't help you, and I apologize for that, but your input will certainly help someone else down the road who may have the same questions.

The problem was there was no pictures or diagram like what is above. Mainly how to plumb the hoses. DK's instructions were for only a filter relocate OR an oil cooler. Not as a combo which I bought. Do I first go to filter or cooler first. I didn't know if warmer oil filtered better or vice versa. You all think you purchase something and then call Kevin if there is questions. I paid $635.00 and I shouldn't have to call.
i have his tank lift, rear lift, and floorboard extenders. They were done better. I've spoke to Keven via email and he gave me help. BUT, I should not have to for that kind of money.

2 more cents.

Hi Jack,

You are correct, we want the instructions to be as clear as possible. I agree, you should not need to call or email. Whenever we get a question on an install, we look at the instructions and see how we can improve them.

We are going to be doing some work on these to make them even more clear.

Both questions you asked are answered in the existing instructions you received-

1. We do address the combo kit-

From the Dual-Cool Oil Cooler instructions it says:

For Use with the Cool-n-Clean Oil Filter Relocation follow step
7b.

2. We do address which lines go where-

7b. From the “OUT” side of the Oil Filter Mount route your oil line to one side of your Jagg oil cooler....

From the other side of your Jagg Oil Cooler, using hose clamps, route the oil line to the “IN” side of your Oil Filter Adapter.

But these apparently got lost in all the other instructions. I believe your suggestion of a diagram would make the written instructions easier to understand.

Please post or email me any other suggestions that would have made the install go smoother for you.

Thank you,

Kevin
