I recently purchased a V2 Batwing LED Vent Insert with Auxiliary Turn Signal from "Custom Dynamics" for my 2023 Tri Glide. The vent insert does not fit as per the installation instructions. I informed "Custom Dynamics" about this problem and requested a return label as the vent trim retaining tabs do not line-up with the fairing and will not allow the vent trim to "snap" into place. "Custom Dynamics" informs me that I must pay for the return shipping for this faulty vent trim.

I know when I installed mine, it was pretty tight and took quite a bit of pressure to get in place… but it does fit!

Keep in mind that Custom Dynamics is one of the BEST in the industry in what they do, and they have a lifetime warranty.
If you want to return it, simply take it back to the shop you bought it from. Their Customer service should take care of it.

Now… if you ordered it online, then yes… the customer will have to pay to ship it back. Most every company has policies just like this when purchased on line, just not Custom Dynamics.

That sucks

I have used C.D. for years and have had 2 lights that they warrantied for me. A signal that quit working when I was in Milwaukee on a trip. I took it to a Harley dealer up there and they handed me a new one, no charge, no hassle, just here ya go! The other was a headlight that I called them about and they mailed me the part I needed. They're not cheap but they do stand behind their products!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly!!!
The OP has posted in about 3 separate posts bashing Custom Dynamics.
CD is one of the best in the industry.
If he bought it on line, then CD would (and SHOULD) not have to pay shipping back to them.
If he bought it locally (dealer, or local shop) all he has to do is take it back to the shop he bought it from. 👍🏻👍🏻
If he bought it online… then YES, he should ship it back at his expense. (JMHO).
