I am still a newbie as in First Trike Tuesday of last week, first time I've rode a bike in 20 plus years. A buddy and I drove 296 miles round trip for dinner tonight. What crazy type of people drive that far for a meal, lol I presume a motorcycle rider hehe It was an awesome ride into the hills of Oklahoma. Ready for the next trip, The wife and I did 200 miles Sat evening just cruising

Journey

.....AND the food.......I've been known to ride 100 miles for a good 'cup o joe' on a cool winters morning!
Ride on my friends (and safe)!!!!
:Coffee:

Define "crazy".

That's pretty normal for some of us.
I went to Texas for a steak once. Rode there, eat, and went home. Much younger then though. I would have to have a hotel room after eating now. LOL

Sometimes I need a hotel room after eating, and I've only just went across town!

Chris, you and your bride should make it out to San Angelo. We have some pretty darn good West Texas eats around here. Maybe not quite as scenic trip as the Oklahoma hills but if you stay off the interstate it's still a pretty nice ride from Paris to here (only 363 miles)... :Coffee: :Coffee:

And yes, we do keep the lights on....... :xszpv::xszpv:

Makes sense to me. We need a destination--like a good place to eat or a lake/beach to explore--and we make a day out of it. My wife loves it and I love being able to make her happy doing something I enjoy, too. Be safe and enjoy the open road. ThumbUp

My wife and I will quite often ride about 200 miles into North Carolina to eat BBQ. I guess that makes us crazy too!

Didn't take you long to figure this trike thing out did it ! :clapping:

Now you know what it is all about. Just get on and go. Any place makes for a reason.

The majority here is Harley as we have a great Harley dealer in our small town. How do u go about finding any riding clubs local that aren't strictly Harley

Finding "trike" clubs can be a sobering experience, they are few and far between. I am a member of a Trike Riding group (Trike Time Texas) here in Central Texas, but also a member of a motorcycle riding club here (if you are a Mason, check with FMRC, FreeMason Riding Club, for a local chapter). This gives me more exposure to riding time with a group. My motorcycle club doesn't mind a trike riding with them (I'm the President, so they better not!) and that is something you need to talk to a bike club about (some take offense to a "3" wheeler, that it's not a motorcycle??). Check with Trike Talk about local clubs (Randy is good people) and check out BTW (Brothers of the Third Wheel), they have affiliate clubs world wide. You can Google, motorcycle clubs or trike clubs for your area. Good luck, and don't give up! They are out there, just not always visible.
