2024 CSC Encore

Brand new 2024 CSC Encore, 600 miles. An annoying, loud squeaking noise from the rear end when reversing using the reverse function or rolling back in neutral. The same noise is present when moving forward between 0-10 mph. Working with CSC and a local certified CSC dealer, so far, no luck pinpointing issues.

Has anybody experienced this same issue, and if so, what was the root cause?

If you raise the rear end off the ground and turn the wheels does it still make the noise? If it does you should be able to locate the source a little closer.

Local dealer found a glazed right rear brake pad not even 1000 miles, changed it out. Noise went away for about 75 miles now it is all back again. Taking it back again soon to see what else is the issue. The bike even squeaks when turned off completely and you push it slightly forward from the rear forward.

Local CSC authorized dealer in IL changed rear wheel bearing and noise got worse. Been down for 3 weeks now waiting for this issue to be pin pointed and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere good. These noises have been happening since 80 miles roughly started while just reversing now the bike has around 1400 miles. Dealer also checked front bearing, all brake components and all looked good. This is beyond frustrating to say the least, $50k conversion trike that sounds like shit with barely any miles on it. Of course the dealer where I bought it Honda of Russellville Arkansas is almost 800 miles away.

I am so sorry to learn that you are having these issues.

As mentioned, the folks at CSC are very good to work with. Who knows - maybe they will have it corrected at the factory.
