2012 HD Electrical Problem

I have a 14 Triglide. Road from De to DC for the law enforcement memorial in May. Went to come home and battery was dead. Got a full charge, fired it up an came home. I had no touch screen, radio or nav the entire drive (2+ hrs). Got about 200 yrds from home and she shut off. Dealer had it for 3 wks and can find nothing wrong. Anyone else have his problem and if so, what was it? Please help. Have a 500 mile ride the 3rd wk of July coming and don't want this to happen when I'm out in the middle of nowhere. Thanks.

Have you got a lot of accessories running? How about extra lights? Possibly a bad battery that won't hold a charge under load. Or one that shorts out when there is vibration but is okay sitting still. By the way the posting header says 2012 HD and the body of your post says 2014 HD.

Yeah, auto correct on phone sucks. No, I have no add-ons. And it's a 14. Battery checks ok all day long. And was not sitting in traffic as the HD dealer thinks.

I know it may be costly but like I said the battery maybe shorting out only when the trike is moving. An internal plate could of broke loose.

See if you can borrow a know good battery from someone and give it a test ride duplicating what you have rode and ended up with a dead battery.

How did they check the battery? .... If they didn't do a ''lode'' test, And just checked with a volt meter, Dollars to donuts you have a bad cell in the battery... And a new battery is in order...
