My buddies 09 Tri Glide's reverse stopped working the other day so after discovering that it's under the seat rather than under the side cover, the arm was sticking out just barely so he pushed it in and still nothing and if you press the red button the arm will not pop out. After further investigation he noticed that the top was cracked and it looked burned so he checked it with a test light, juice going in but no juice going out when the reverse button is pressed. He hasn't priced one from HD yet but knowing HD it won't be to cheap or if they have one in stock, and it won't surprise me after he replaces it that the motor doesn't work. So I checked Amazon to see if they are available aftermarket ( HD doesn't make them I'm sure) and they are, its a 12v 150 amp circuit breaker priced anywhere from $16.00-42.00, and they look just like the one from HD. He is going to price one from Harley to check price and availability first. And hats off to Jack Klarich for helping us with on testing the breaker, my buddy and I both stink at electrical issues.

I would pull the reverse motor off and for sure replace the brushes, betting they are burned badly, this will cause the current spike that will blow the breaker

The brand name is Littlefuse and te part number is 18510BP 0185150 XP. Go to www.Littlefuse.com. he got it at Advanced Auto i believe cost was $ 32.00

A noted brand name in automotive, IMO a good choice;)

1 thing to keep in mind, if the reverse motor is drawing too much amperage ( bad brushes, poor ground etc.) the new breaker may trip

Best of luck for your friends project
