2011 tri glide with stock handle bars, one of my buddies has a street glide and just installed 12 inch paul yaffie ape hangers and he loves them. like the look of the bars on his glide and I think they would look good on my trike has well. how would they affect the steering? does anybody have pics of there bars? thanks.

never mind. I should have done my research before posting, found plenty of threads on handle bars, but I do have a question, im leaning towards the wild one chubbys bagger bars. I had the 10 inch on my roadglide and like the position. did not have to extend any of the wires or clutch cable. will the same thing apply to my ultra classic trike?

I have yaffie bars on mine ,I like em.
I don't think they affect you steering at all.
There are a lot of nice bars out there , find the one right for you.

Just a heads up....Yaffee bars run about 1-2" taller than other bars. Meaning a 12" Yaffee is closer to a 14" with other manufacturers. That said - I would go with the 12" Yaffee as it brings the bars up and able to bring them closer to the body so you won't have to lean forward when you go full lock. I have the 10" {like a 12"} and wish I had gone to the taller bar. Just my opinion - jc

decided on the wildones chubbys 12 inch apes, will I have to change the clutch cable or extend the wires? im pretty sure that with the 10 inch chubbys you wont have to. I had these same bars on my roadglide and there a good fit for me.

handle bars

You will have to change the cable and wires with the 12". Don't know about the 10" on the 2012 but on the 14 just bought the wire extension everything else worked. Clutch and brake lines.

Change in handlebars

For my '09 Ultra Classic I went with 14". Great for road handling. A bit of a struggle at slow speed or tight maneuvering. It did put my hands/gloves in the wind so any rain/cold my hands caught it. For our '15 Tri Glide I'm keeping stock as I like the protection of fairing. To each is own...wish you a safe ride..jimmer
