Out of curiosity I did a compression check & leak down test on my 2011 TG.

It has 50k miles on it, 40K since the new top end.

Front cylinder 200 psi & leak-down 4%

Rear cylinder 185 psi & leak down 5%

Pretty happy with that!

Crank run-out of .009, not so happy with that, but it is below the .012 that HD says is acceptable.

The .009 is below the .012, but in the oil pump eating zone. Maybe you'll get to use that extended warranty some more before it expires. Harley's crank RO is all over the place, the 2010 Triglide I used to have came with a .005 RO, my dads came with a .001, go figure.

The difference between the front rear cylinder isnt acceptable in my book. That rear cylinder is dragging the front one down. There shouldnt be more than 5lb difference between the 2.

Obviously the crank is is on its way out. Keep your AAA towing card ready.

Yep, right you both are...but they will not do anything until it is over .012. So I will be riding it until it grenades...they are not bright enough to fix it now when it is easier (and less expensive for them), so they will have to fix it later when it will cost them more.

Good thing your not running gear drive cams, it would be sounding like a cement mixer right about now. One of the reasons running gears on an untouched stock crank is bad news just waiting to happen, kind of like what happened to this poor soul.

Ouch!

Back when the top end was completely replaced (due to damage from excessive heat), I asked if, "if I paid to have the crank welded and balanced, and paid HD to install it, would I still be under warranty?"

Answer, NO.

Crazy policies, that don't make sense, can be very frustrating sometimes.
